Diagnosis of dental disease in the cat can be a major challenge. Cats are masters at hiding illness and pain and dental disease is no exception. As a result, clients are often unaware of any dental issues their cat may be experiencing. The onus is on the veterinarian to perform a thorough evaluation of each patient’s mouth. This too can be challenging, as cats are often very fussy about having their mouths examined. Once a diagnosis of dental disease is made, approaching treatment can be challenging. This webinar will focus on feline friendly ways to approach diagnosis of dental disease and client friendly ways to approach getting the dental care the cat needs. The session will also provide a review of the most common types of dental disease in cats and standards of care for treatment.
