Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Inc.
Dr. Karen Shenoy joined Hill’s Pet Nutrition in 2008. She currently serves as Associate Director – Veterinary Affairs, leading the field-based technical services veterinarian team for Hill’s US. Throughout her career at Hill’s, she has moved through roles of increasing responsibility, serving as: Practice Development Veterinarian, Veterinary Affairs Manager, Professional Consulting Veterinarian Team Leader, and Senior Manager – Academic Affairs.
Prior to joining Hill’s, Dr. Shenoy worked as an Associate Veterinarian in small animal practice and at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota. She also served as Adjunct Faculty at a veterinary technology program. She was involved in wildlife medicine for a total of 17 years and gained experience in training, public relations, management and fund-raising.
Karen holds Bachelor of Science (Veterinary Science) and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from the University of Minnesota. She serves as a student mentor and member of the Alumni and Friends Society Board for the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Previously, she served on the American Veterinary Medical Association’s Early Career Development Committee (2012-2015); held numerous volunteer positions with the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association, helping lead the Power of Ten initiative with recent graduates; and participated in the Hill’s GENNEXT task force. She also served on the Board of Directors for the National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association (2007-2011). She, her husband, James and 5-year-old daughter, enjoy spending time together as a family. They have two mixed-breed dogs, Bailey and Zoey, and reside in the Kansas City area.
