Course Schedule
This week we will cover normal reproductive physiology, along with essential information on normal parturition, how to recognise dystocia, and how to give the right advice to clients about birth!
This week is all about the post-partum period - including examination and care of the neonate from birth to 4 weeks, what you should tell clients, nutrition, behavior and more. Let's not forget the mother! This week we will also cover maternal care and nutrition, mastitis and eclampsia!
The infections! Pyometra, metritis, and vaginitis will be covered this week - how to recognise them, cytology of vulval discharge, and the essential nursing of these patients. We will also take a look at male reproductive infections too, along with other common male problems in reproductive medicine.
Reproductive emergencies encompass conditions ranging from disorders of mating and pregnancy, through to dystocia, pyometra and testicular torsion. This course will cover all of these and more – including neonatal care, caesarean, eclampsia, reproductive cytology, mastitis and more! Full of practical tips, the latest research, and useful tables and resources, this course is essential value for anyone dealing with small animal reproduction!
