What's in the Course?
This topic will look at how the sensation of pain arises, and how animals respond to pain. In addition, we will learn how to recognize pain, and how to more accurately assess pain using pain scoring systems.
This week we will look at how the different analgesics work, and the best way to use them, monitor the use of analgesics, legal requirements, and, importantly, how to manage toxicity due to analgesics.
