Summary

In this program, participants will learn the importance of utilizing a variety of tools to manage the dermatology patient. The core principles of collecting a complete and accurate history, performing dermatology procedures correctly and providing thorough client education and participating with patient follow up. This program will discuss the most common dermatology procedures performed in private practice and provide tips and tricks for the best sample collection techniques as well as microscopic interpretation of these samples.

Certified Veterinary Technician, VTS in Dermatology, Secretary of the Academy of Dermatology Veterinary Technicians

Kim Horne is a certified veterinary technician and holds a VTS in dermatology. She spent the majority of her career at the University of Minnesota, Veterinary Medical Center and recently retired after working as a vet tech for over 40 years. Kim is a Charter Member and current Secretary of the Academy of Dermatology Veterinary Technicians.
