Summary

Recent advances in diagnostic testing allows for an earlier identification of chronic kidney disease in cats and dogs. Once identified, early CKD therapeutic interventions can allow our patients to live a better quality and longer life. This seminar will address both the diagnostic testing and treatments available to our CKD patients and owners.

DVM, MS, DACVIM

Dr. Gary P. Oswald, a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, is a board-certified specialist in the field of veterinary internal medicine. Dr. Oswald is a Cleveland Ohio native and received his BS and DVM degrees from The Ohio State University. He completed a medical residency/masters degree program in Internal Medicine at Colorado State University. He has been in private specialty practice since 1991 and was the founder and chief medical officer at Tampa Bay Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Care Center from 1993-2020. He is the author of multiple veterinary studies and articles and presents continuing education series lectures on a regular basis.
