Start Date

Summary

Nutrition is a 5th vital assessment in a health examination. COVID and related restrictions are changing the way that the vet teams interact with pet parents. With pet parents not coming into the clinic, and seeing the exclusively available veterinary nutrition product options how can vet teams communicate to pet parents about nutrition? In this program, participants will learn about the importance of making a nutrition recommendation in unconventional appointment types – curbside and virtual tele-health consultations. Participants will discuss options to effectively obtain a nutrition history, and make a nutrition recommendation despite where the consultation is occurring. Interaction scenarios, and sample phrases of how we would manage to discuss nutrition in curbside and virtual appointments will be demonstrated to ensure participants are prepared with practical “how to” information.
