Summary
A review of the common and uncommon urolith types in dogs and cats. Together, we will focus on diagnosis including breed predispositions and predisposing factors, radiographic appearance, and urine characteristics. We will also discuss dissolution, prevention, ACVIM guidelines for stone management, and Minnesota Urolith Center algorithms for management. Finally, we will briefly discuss surgical and non-surgical methods of urolith removal.
